All French Bulldog puppies purchased from Christina Jessica Family come with a health guarantee. Within 10 days of purchasing your new puppy, you must have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian. If your veterinarian determines within those 10 days that your puppy is clinically ill, or has died from an injury sustained or illness likely to have been contracted on or before the date of sale and delivery, please contact us immediately.
Our puppies are guaranteed to be in good health and free from signs of infection and contagious or communicable diseases at the time of adoption. We take pride in knowing that our relationship with your family does not end when you take your puppy home. As breeders and devoted puppy lovers, we want every new family member to have the healthiest possible start.
However, we also understand that some aspects of a puppy’s health are beyond anyone’s control. A puppy’s long-term health can depend on genetics, exercise, nutrition, environment, and ongoing care. While we cannot guarantee that your puppy will never experience a health problem, we are committed to doing our best to ensure that your new family member is healthy when joining your home.
In the unlikely event that your puppy dies within one year from its date of birth due to a genetic condition, or is diagnosed within one year with a congenital or hereditary disorder that adversely affects the puppy’s health, we will replace the puppy with another puppy of equivalent value at no cost to you.
The cause of death must be certified by a licensed veterinarian. Any applicable diagnosis must also be supported by appropriate veterinary documentation.
We do not believe that any puppy is replaceable, but we understand that losing a beloved companion can be deeply painful. In such an unfortunate circumstance, our goal is to provide support and help your family through the process.
Nothing delights us more than knowing we were able to bring a healthy, happy puppy into your home. Your care after adoption also plays an important role in keeping your puppy healthy.
Please follow these requirements:
Have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within four days of receiving your puppy.
Send us a copy of the veterinary examination or medical record within four business days of receiving your puppy.
Your puppy will come with up-to-date, age-appropriate vaccinations. Do not vaccinate your puppy again during the first ten days after receiving your puppy unless otherwise directed by your veterinarian.
Continue proper deworming and regular veterinary examinations through at least 16 weeks of age, or longer as recommended by your veterinarian.
Following these guidelines helps ensure that your puppy receives appropriate care during the important first weeks in your home.
Our health guarantee does not cover the puppy’s disposition or temperament, conformation, adult size, weight, color, markings, or breeding ability.
For breeds known to be prone to hip dysplasia, replacements will not be provided when the condition is associated with the puppy being overweight.
Failure to provide your puppy with timely vaccinations or regular veterinary care may void this guarantee.
The guarantee also does not cover costs associated with spaying or neutering, including costs related to undescended testicles.
Before your puppy comes home, every puppy is required to undergo an extensive health examination performed by our veterinarian. Our veterinarian completes a Veterinary Health Report to evaluate the overall condition of the puppy.
The examination covers areas including:
Cardiovascular health
Skin and coat
Eyes
Mouth, teeth, and gums
Musculoskeletal system
Respiratory system
Ears
Urogenital system
Gastrointestinal system
We require this examination to be completed close to the date your puppy goes home so that the health evaluation reflects your puppy’s recent condition.
The completed Veterinary Health Report is reviewed for any issues or concerns noted by our veterinarian. This allows us to address relevant information and provide families with a clear understanding of their puppy’s health before the puppy joins their new home.
We also require every new owner to have their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within four days of receiving the puppy.
This examination gives your veterinarian an opportunity to assess your puppy after the transition to your home and establish appropriate ongoing care. Keeping regular veterinary appointments and following your veterinarian’s recommendations are important parts of maintaining your puppy’s health.
